Technorati, another way of promoting my blog. Last week, I joined Technorati and signed up for an account. I went through the various steps of creating my profile. It’s like any other website that has all the topics one could easily search for. But what I found unique in this website is that, it allows you to put your blogs into one profile and that way people can search your blog to see what interests them. Like word press, Technorati has a variety of blogs.
The website says “Technorati announces Blogger Central. Your resource hub for what you want to know about blogging.” On top of that it also allows you to add your favorite blogs. I think that might even increase my blogging views and comments. Its top most Blog directory includes “Entertainment, Lifestyle, Sports, Business, Politics and Technology.” As we know that these are just the main topics but other topics are included within them e.g., entertainment includes celebrity and gossip, gaming, movies and film, music, television and theatre.
The main “Blogger central” has about 100 top blogs. If we explore these blogs well and see how they write, what they write about, then maybe! We might be able to do the same for out blogs. Apart from that it also has the facility of “Ping.” This page basically gives you the opportunity to update your Technorati profile once you have updated your original blog. This means that when you update your blog with new posts and information, the technorati doesn’t have that new information so you have to insert the URL in this ping facility and then Technorati has your original updates too.
